Mark’s story
Building since 1966
Mark’s career began when he was 10, after his family moved into a big Dutch Colonial on Long Island that needed a lot of work. He was number 7 of 9 children, and his father, Henry, was a builder who was very particular about how a job got done. He didn’t hire much outside help, so Mark learned by doing.
After high school he apprenticed with a builder who had worked for his father, built custom cabinets for installations in Manhattan, and then joined a large commercial construction company, where he learned steel-stud framing, suspended ceilings and much more. He earned his first contractor’s license in 1980 and was eventually licensed across Long Island and New York City.
In 1996 Mark moved his family to Wilmington, where he has served homeowners and businesses ever since, dealing directly with every customer from concept to completion.
